Red Alert: Powerful Hailstorm Slams S-Town, Leaving Streets Covered in Ice

  • by

A sudden and intense hailstorm has turned parts of S-Town into a scene of destruction, with large chunks of ice covering lawns, roads, sidewalks, and vehicles. The storm appears to have arrived quickly, catching residents off guard as heavy rain and hail battered the area.

Photos from the scene show hailstones scattered across streets and grass, while some pieces appear large enough to damage cars, windows, roofs, and outdoor property.

If you are in an area experiencing severe hail right now, take shelter immediately and stay indoors until the storm has completely passed.

What Happened During the Storm?

The storm appears to have developed with dark, heavy clouds followed by intense rainfall and large hailstones.

Instead of ordinary small hail, some of the ice visible in the photos is considerably larger. Large hail can fall at high speed and may cause damage within only a few minutes.

Residents may notice:

  • Large hailstones covering lawns and roads
  • Heavy rain and poor visibility
  • Damaged tree branches
  • Water accumulating along streets
  • Dents or broken windows on vehicles
  • Strong wind accompanying the storm
  • Rapid changes in weather conditions

The most dangerous part of a severe thunderstorm is that conditions can change very quickly.
