- 1 cup hot water

- Pour over hot water.
- Cover and steep for 5–10 minutes.
- Strain before drinking.
Add lemon if you enjoy a brighter flavor.
3. Garlic + Warm Water
For a very simple preparation, garlic can be combined with warm water.
Ingredients
- 1 small garlic clove
- 1 cup warm water
Crush the garlic and allow it to sit briefly before adding it to warm water. Stir well and strain if desired.
The flavor is quite strong, so this combination isn’t for everyone.
4. Garlic + Lemon
Garlic and lemon work particularly well in cooking.
Ingredients
- 1–2 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Pinch of salt
- Black pepper
Mix everything together to make a simple dressing for vegetables, salads, grilled chicken, or fish.
5. Garlic + Olive Oil
This is one of the easiest combinations to use regularly in meals.
Quick Garlic Oil
- ½ cup olive oil
- 2–3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- Pinch of salt
- Fresh herbs, optional
Warm the olive oil gently with the garlic over low heat for a few minutes, taking care not to burn the garlic.
Use immediately over roasted vegetables, pasta, potatoes, or bread.
Food-safety tip: Don’t store homemade raw garlic in oil at room temperature. Garlic-in-oil mixtures can support the growth of Clostridium botulinum. Refrigerate promptly and use quickly, or use a tested preservation method.
